Abstract

The objective of this work was to analyze the scientific literature regarding the availability of assistive technologies in university libraries for users with visual impairments. This was a bibliographic research conducted in the BRAPCI and SCIELO databases, covering the chronological period from 2012 to 2022. Five articles were cited, highlighting the main assistive technologies used in university libraries, such as free software like DOSVOX and NVDA, as well as Braille books, magnifiers, screen reader programs like JAWS, and audio description resources. These technologies not only facilitate access to information but also promote autonomy and equal opportunities for all students
